Introduce the UK Garden in the Expo 2019

From April 2019, the UK will participate in the Beijing Expo 2019. Over the following five months, the Expo will play host to more than 100 countries, all Chinese provinces and 16 million visitors from across China and beyond.

The core theme of the Beijing Expo 2019 is ‘Live Green Live Better’, placing a focus on the importance of environmental sustainability in the future development of China.

Introduce the UK Garden and Pavilion

The UK Garden and Pavilion will be the centrepiece of the UK’s presence at Beijing Expo 2019, highlighting the UK’s strengths and expertise in green innovation. The Garden and Pavilion, designed by a group of British architectural and landscape designers, build on the environmental sustainability theme which has run through previous award-winning UK installations at Expo 2010 Shanghai (The Seed Cathedral) and Expo 2015 Milan (The Hive).

UK Garden and Pavilion

Situated within the International Gardens, the UK’s visitor facilities comprise two terraces, a flexible event space, VIP lounge and conference room.

Surrounded by landscaped gardens, the terraces provide space for both public and private events.

Connected to the West Terrace via bi-folding doors, the indoor flexible event space can expand capacity of the terrace where required, or provide an enclosed space for seminars and conferences.

The VIP lounge and conference room provide additional areas for smaller meetings.
